Artist's Comments

As usual this is kinda late, but anyway here's my submission to the ArchiByte sitooterie contest! It isn't wildly out there, as my principal goals were for a structure that was utilitarian yet based upon sustainable principles. At such a small scale it's really surprising what can be achieved :D

btw., for those who are interested, Coober Pedy is an old opal mining town in northern South Australia. Most people there live underground to escape the intense daytime temperatures, yet the vastness of the scenery (and the interest of the geology) makes it quite an otherworldly place to visit!

Software used...
Photoshop CS2, SketchUp 5, AutoCAD '06 :salute:

'having done this competition myself' gah! now im curious as to what you came up with!! youre right, i had a conversation with ~cad-monkey and it's indeed true that architecture on a smaller scale can be really interesting!
