Artist's Comments

Well, since it's been a busy month, my focus has been on architecture assignments & deadlines! here's one that i passed in this afternoon- it's my own concept for a refit to the old Waterside Worker's Hall that's located in Nile St. Port Adelaide (if u dont know where that is, i dont blame u!) the hall building is the dodgy rectangular structure, and the new refit is the spiny part! :D
We do have crieria we have to meet, and they're based around developing a HQ for Kessels Kramer there (some design company out of eastern europe, i think!) & we have to allocate all of the spaces they need to do business (services, cafe, meeting/presentation rooms, management, directors, :blahblah: )

so there u have it! this is an image taken from sketchup- i want to refine it later in 3d studio, so when that happens, you'll all be the first to know. :)

how is architecture? is it a lot different than engineering.. does knowledge in software like max make it easier to learn and understand?
:icona1106047:
it most certainly does! :D the engineering faculty and ours share the same computer suites, so i can tell u there are some similarities- they use a bit of autoCAD, but nowhere near as much as we do. learning max is actually in a couple of elective subjects in the first degree, so it comes in pretty handy to know later on for presentations... :boogie:

You are alive:?
Well, i like this! Like the idea of bringing together traditional and modern engineering, really nice :)

I blew my mind and became a genius!
Don't believe me? See this: [link] :flirty: told you!

alive and kicking! it was a nightmare, but thinking of you helped me pull through :D
i got sum more feedback today~ the tutors liked the concept behind my scheme, but it kinda goes beyond the site boundaries in places :blushes:

hahha. right now im enrolled for mech. eng. i didnt apply for arch directly bcz chances are slim and i didnt have a portfolio.. so i though it would be easier to switch once im there, especially with the flexibility in the states..
:icona1106047:
whoa, so ure saying that you need a portfolio to enrol in arch in the states? well i never! seriously though, with the knowledge u already have in graphic design, i think you'll enjoy it! All i ever see of the mech eng students are asian guys who obviously have no social life... best to stick with architecture if u know what i mean ;)
